David L. Chrivia, age 68 of Marlette passed away December 7, 2017 at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. David was born on April 1, 1949 in Capac, Michigan, the son of the late Louis Dennis and Florence Pearl (Wedlake) Chrivia. On December 26, 1970 he married Delores Ragatz in Imlay City.
Dave was the owner of his electrical business. He was an electrician at Pinnacle Foods in Imlay City and retired in 2014. Dave taught residential electrical wiring at the Vo-Tech in Lapeer County. Dave loved to camp and spend time with his grandsons and family, riding the dune buggies up north in the state ground, but he especially enjoyed riding the golf cart around home with his grandson, Tyler.
Dave is survived by his wife, Delores; son, Scott (Joleen) Chrivia of Marlette; two grandsons, Tyler and Devin Chrivia; four brothers, Michael Chrivia of Missouri, Rodd Chrivia of Rochester Hills, Richard (Donna) Chrivia of West Virginia and Jimmy (Debra) Ison of Oxford; sister-in-law, Joan Chrivia of Fenton; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, William.
The family will be present for visitation on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 3 to 8 PM, and Monday, December 11, 2017 from 11 AM to 1 PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 PM all at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Pastor Rick Turner will officiate. Dave will be buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in North Branch.
