Michael "Kelly" Martin

President/Manager

Kelly is a third generation funeral director, following in the footsteps of his grandparents, Miles and Mildred Martin, his father Patrick J. Martin, and his uncle Miles "Tom" Martin.  He joined his father in North Branch in 1996, working with him until Pat's death in 1998.

Kelly served in the U.S. Navy from 1973 to 1978.  He earned his Associate of Arts Degree from Mott Community College, a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan-Flint, and Bachelor of Science Degree from Wayne State University.  Kelly has also studied at the Fountain National Academy of Professional Embalming Skills, in Springfield, MO, gaining valuable skills in massive trauma reconstruction surgical techniques.  He also served as President of the Thumb Funeral Directors Association form 2007 to 2009.

Cheri Hemingway

Licensed Funeral Director

Cheri is a licensed Funeral Director.  She graduated from Mt. Morris High School and she received her Associates in Science from Mott Community and her bachelors in Mortuary Science from Wayne State University in 2009.  Cheri is a member of the Michigan Funeral Directors Association, a member of the Michigan Embalmers Society, Thumb Funeral Directors Association and National Funeral Directors Association

Tony Crawford

Greeter and Parking Attendant

Tony joined our staff in 2009.Tony is a resident of our area, graduating from North Branch High School in 1971.  Tony serves as a greeter and parking attendant for the funeral home.  He married Joannne Stevens in 1972.  They have 2 sons, 6 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Tony enjoys golfing, fishing and camping with the family.

Sandra (Scramlin) Smith

Greeter

Sandy serves as a greeter at our funeral home.  She is a lifelong resident of North Branch area and graduated from North Branch High School.  Sandy and late husband, Bob Smith, were owners of Smitty's Market and Smitty's Gun Shop in Kings Mill.  Sandy has 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. 

Pamela (Minkstein) Frampton

Hairstylist and Greeter

Pam is a lifelong resident of North Branch and graduated from North Branch High School.  She has been our hairstylist and greeter for over 17 years.  Pam is married to Les Frampton.  They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, sewing and family time.

John Welke

Greeter and Parking Attendant

John has been working in the funeral home service since 2000.  He has served as an EMT for the North Branch and Mayville Area for 34 years. John also owned his own insurance agency in Mayville for 32 years.   John serves as a greeter and parking attendant. He has been married to Sally (Hunkins) for 41 years, and they have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. 

Anna (Schank) Seaman

Greeter and office assistant

Anna is a lifelong resident of North Branch. She joined our staff in 2018. She graduated from North Branch High School in 1968. Anna was married to Ron Seaman for 48 years until his death in 2017. She has four children and eleven grandchildren. Anna is a member of St. Mary's Burnside Catholic Church. She volunteers at the North Branch Thrift Shop and helps at the Red Cross quarterly blood drive at the North Branch American Legion.

Chloey Gavan

Greeter

Chloey Gavan is a 2022 graduate from Lapeer High School. She lives in the Columbiaville area. Chloey started working as a greeter in 2024. She is currently attending college to get her degree in nursing and mortuary science. In her spare time she enjoys hanging our with family and friends

Dorene ( Griswold) Scott

Greeter

Dorene moved back to her hometown of North Branch in 2017. She joined our staff as a greeter in 2021. Dorene retired from General Motors. She enjoys gardening and painting.

Jolene (Kozlowski) Kreiner

Office Assistant and Greeter

Jolene joined our staff in 2024 as an Office Assistant and Greeter. She graduated from North Branch High School in 1982. She is married to Paul Kreiner and they have 3 sons, 3 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Jolene enjoys gardening, painting and time with her family.

Joyce Rappuhn

Greeter

Joyce Rappuhn joined the staff in 2023 as a greeter. Joyce grew up in Lapeer and graduated from Lapeer High School. She married Dan Rappuhn in 1977. They have 2 children. Joyce attends the North Branch Wesleyan Church. She was blessed to work at Teamwork for 27 years with special needs individuals. Joyce and Dan enjoy day trips together.

Ruthann (Haack) Johnson

Office Assistant and Greeter

Ruthann is a lifelong resident of North Branch. She joined our staff in 2022 as an office assistant and greeter. She graduated from North Branch High School in 1977. Ruthann married Ken Johnson in 1981 and is a volunteer at the North Branch Food Pantry. Ruthann loves to travel and go up north to their cabin in Mio, MI.

Tony Bowman

Maintenance and Greeter

Tony joined our staff in 2024 as our maintenance guy and greeter. He graduated in 1976 from Capac High School. He retired from Centerline Schools. He is married to Barbara. He has 3 children and 4 and grandchildren. Tony enjoys camping and traveling.

Van Sharkey

Greeter and Parking Attendant

Van Sharkey lives in the Kings Mill area. He has served as a greeter and parking attendant since 2020. Van retired from Detroit Edison as a lineman. He has two children, two grandchildren and on great-granddaughter. Van is a true outdoors-man, who loves fishing, deer hunting, turkey hunting and whatever the outdoors offers.
