Wilma A. Swoish, age 95, of North Branch passed away on November 1, 2022, at her home. Wilma was born on September 10, 1927, the daughter of Leo and Esther (Peet) Kenney. She was a graduate of North Branch High School. On September 27, 1947, Wilma married Lloyd Swoish at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in North Branch. She worked at the North Branch Food Lockers and was a homemaker. Wilma was a member of St. Mary’s Burnside Altar Society. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards with her card group and bird watching. But most of all she loved traveling with her husband, sister, Shirley and brother-in-law Jim Kohler out west and their winters in Florida.
Wilma is survived by her sons, Terry, Larry, Steve and Francis, her 4 grandchildren, her 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sisters, Shirley and Hazel.
Visitation for Wilma will be on Sunday, November 6, 2022, 3:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with Rosary at 7:00 P.M. On Monday, November 7, 2022, visitation will be 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Burnside with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Sama Muma will be officiating. Wilma will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
