Wayne Rappuhn

Wayne Rappuhn, age 100 of Clifford passed away Monday, June 24, 2019 at Marlette United Residence Hospice.  Wayne was born November 7, 1918 in Clifford, MI.  The son of Gottlieh and Roszella (Huntley) Rappuhn.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II.  Wayne was preceded in death by his wives, Violet Southard, the mother of his children, and Raffaela Svoboda.  He retired from GM with 35 years of service.  Wayne had a variety of interests, among them were gardening, reading, collecting and watching movies, playing cards, especially colt 45. 

Wayne is survived by 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Violet and Raffaela; sons, Robert and Allen; and 5 brothers. 

Memorials may be made to the North Branch American Legion Post # 457.

Visitation for Wayne will be Friday, June 28, 2019 from 5 to 8 PM at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.  On Saturday, June 29, 2019 there will be visitation from 10 to 11 AM at the Silverwood Methodist Church with the Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 AM.   Rev. Ron Hutchinson will officiate. Wayne will be laid to rest next to wife, Violet at Rich Township Cemetery.  There will be military honors conducted at the cemetery.
