Virginia Rose Klaus Snoblen, age 93, of North Branch died February 17, 2021. Virginia was born on September 3, 1927 in Detroit to Charles & Elizabeth Wasztel Klaus. Virginia grew up on a farm on Burnside Road, attended Ferguson and North Branch High Schools. She graduated in 1945. Virginia graduated from Lapeer County Normal in 1946 with a teaching certificate and taught at Dodds Schools for 2 years.
Virginia married Louis Snoblen on June 19, 1948 and together they worked Snoblen Dairy Farm. Virginia loved to farm, cook, making quilts and gardening. She had many Christmas and Desert Cactus over the years. Virginia loved spending time with her family.
Virginia is survived by her children Tom (Cindy), Chuck, Fred (Virginia) all of North Branch, Jeanne Sawatzke of Camillus, NY and Ron (Heidi) of Henderson, NV.; her 17 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren; her sister, Elizabeth Hodgkinson of North Branch and sister in law Hedwig Klaus Glauer of Cape Coral, Fl and many nieces and nephews. Virginia is preceded in death by her loving husband Louis, son Joseph, her parents, sisters Helen Ann Klaus, Sophie Teeple, brothers Edward, Joseph (killed in WWII), Peter, Walter and Harry, sister in law Elaine and brothers in laws George Teeple and Fred Hodgkinson,
Visitation for Virginia will be on Thursday, February 18th, 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. and on Friday, February 19th, 1:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 6:00 P.M. on Friday. On Saturday, February 20th, Virginia will lie in state with visitation 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 P.M. Rev. Sama Muma will officiate. Virginia will be laid to rest next to her husband at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
