Victor James Bonner

COVID-Update-with the recent guidelines limits the number of people to 25 at any gathering we are asking that you consider other ways to help support the family and friends during this difficult time as an alternative to attending a visitation or funeral.

Victor James Bonner, of Hulbert, MI and formerly of Columbiaville, MI passed away peacefully March 15th, 2021 at the age of 77.

Vic was born on January 23, 1944 in Flint, MI to the late James and Dorothy Bonner.  Vic graduated from North Branch High School in 1962.  Vic married his high school sweetheart Carol Bodmer and enjoyed 58 years of companionship together.  Vic and Carol owned and operated their own plumbing business in the Columbiaville area for more than 30 years.  They retired to the Upper Peninsula where Vic enjoyed spending his time hunting, golfing, fishing, bowling, visiting the casinos and exploring the outdoors.  Vic was a talented woodworker and could fix most anything.

Vic’s legacy will carry on through his wife, Carol, his three children, Russell (Lorie) Bonner, Annette (Jon) Satkowiak and Rick (Sherri) Bonner, his nine grandchildren, Kyle (Samantha) Bonner, Lucas (Alex) Bonner, Cody (Chelsea) Bonner, Jon (Ashley) Satkowiak, Christie (Eric) Burrows, Nicole Satkowiak, Jakab (Jess) Bonner, Kaleb Bonner and Mitchell Bonner, his eight great-grandchildren, Jack and Charlie Bonner, Tate and Deacon Bonner, Sadie Satkowiak, Brody, Bryce and Brinley Burrows.  Vic was looking forward to meeting his 9th great-grandchild in June.  Vic is survived by his sister, Janet Bonner. A special thank you to Lance and Michele Bryns for the friendship, kindness and care you have shown.

The family will be present for visitation on Thursday, March 18th, 2021, 2:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel- Martin Funeral Home. On Friday, March 19th, 2021 visitation will be 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at Country Christian Church, 5677 N. Lapeer Road, North Branch, MI. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M.  Pastor Dale Lautzenheiser will be officiating. The family will have a private burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbiaville, MI.
