Thomas M. Gormley, age 78, of Attica passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at McLaren Lapeer Region. Tom was born at the family farmhouse on December 31, 1942, the son of Maurice and LaDell (Roach) Gormley. He grew up in the Lum/Attica area and was a 1961 graduate of North Branch High School. He proudly served in the Army National Guard for 6 years. On July 30, 1966, Tom married Doris Wellman at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Saginaw. He retired from General Motors and was a farmer. Tom served 30 years on the Board of Review for Arcadia Township. Tom enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and playing cards. He loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities.
Tom is survived by his children, Theresa (Steve) Bannister of Bay City, Diane (Dave) Ruhlman of North Branch and Tim (Kim) Gormley of Attica, his 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild, his sisters, Judy (Chet) Rozanski of Attica and Sheila Bohnett of Lancaster, South Carolina, his brothers-in-law, Paul (Pat) Wellman of South Carolina and John (Betty) Wellman of Cadillac and sister-in-law, Gay Wellman of Flushing, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, his parents, his brothers-in-law, Harold Wellman, Leo (Joan) Wellman and Dan Bohnett and his sister-in-law, Nancy Wellman.

The family will be present for visitation on Friday, October 29, 2021, 3:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with a Rosary at 5:00 P.M. On Saturday, October 30, 2021 visitation will be 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in North Branch. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Richard Treml will officiate. Tom will be laid to rest next to his wife at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
