Sue Marie (Hunt) Sharp-Hampton

Sue Sharp-Hampton, age 70, of North Branch passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at McLaren/Lapeer Region Hospital. Sue was born in Lapeer, MI, on July 14, 1950, the daughter of Phillip and Susie (Winer) Hunt.  Sue grew up in Lapeer area and was a 1968 Lapeer High School graduate.  Sue married Gary Hampton on November 14, 1988 at the courthouse in Lapeer. She enjoyed scrapbooking, traveling and her church family. She was a group leader for the Sisters in Christ. Most of all, Sue loved spending the time with her grandsons.

Sue is survived by her husband, Gary; her sons, Charles (Candice)  Sharp, Adrian Hampton and Ethan Hampton; her grandsons, Charlie Sharp, Ayden Hampton, Rowan Hampton and soon to be born twin boys; her brothers, Paul Hunt and Phillip Hunt; her sister, Marion Pederson; her mother-in-law, Faye Hampton;  her nieces, nephews, cousins and many close and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Neil, Carl and Edgar Hunt; her infant baby sister and her father-in-law, Eugene Hampton.

Visitation for Sue will be 10:30 A.M.-1:00 P.M. on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Country Christian Church, 5677 N. Lapeer Road, North Branch. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Dale Lautzenheiser officiating. Sue will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery.
