Sue Elizabeth (Jacot) Jamison

Sue Elizabeth Jamison, age 85, passed away February 21, 2023 at McLaren Lapeer Region with her family by her side.  Sue was born in Dayton Township, MI on July 1, 1937, daughter of Lisle and Margaret (Long) Jacot.  Sue graduated from North Branch High School, class of 1955.  On August 11, 1956 she married Jerry Jamison in Lagrange, IN.

Together Jerry and Sue helped in starting two churches: Fostoria Baptist Church and Grace Baptist Church in Lapeer. Sue taught Sunday School and held Bible Clubs in her home.  Sue was a dedicated wife and mother, and a wonderful cook.  She enjoyed computer games, knitting, crocheting, putting together puzzles and cake decorating.

Sue is survived by her children: Pam (Tim) Shaver of Silverwood, Nancy (Cliff) Shaver of Silverwood, Lyle (Mary) Jamison of North Branch, Mary (David) Yelland of North Branch, Amy (Tory) Dewberry of Redford; 17 grandchildren: Rachel (Skip) Collins, TJ (Misty) Shaver, Michelle (Jeremy) Dahlquist, Valerie (Dennis) Rew, Tony (Laura) Shaver, Melanie (Jared) Childs, Nicole (Chad) Sipka, Laura (John) Billig, Jody (Bobby) Hanna, Julie Jamison, Jonathan (Amanda) Yelland, Tina (Jordan) Davidson, Leah (Evan) Haun, Joel (Karen) Yelland, Jason (Emyly) Yelland, Betsy Dewberry,  Jack Dewberry and step- grandson Ben Dewberry; 35 great grandchildren; sister Judy Harrold; sisters-in-law Eva Jamison and Phyllis Jacot, and many nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband Jerry, parents Lisle and Margaret, brother Milton Jacot, sisters Pat Morrison, Naomi Guido, and Jackie Dietz, son-in-law Lester Drennen, and great granddaughter Gillian Haun.

The family will be present for visitation at Fostoria Baptist Church, Fostoria, MI on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 5 PM to 8 PM and from 10 AM to 11 AM Saturday, February 25, 2023, with the funeral following at 11 AM. Pastor David Yelland officiating.  Burial will be in West Deerfield Cemetery.
