Sheila W. Ragatz , age 88 of Imlay City passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 with her family by her side. Sheila was born in Kings Mill on March 29, 1933 the daughter of George and Hazel (Spencer) Mack Sr. She grew up in the Kings Mill area and attended Kings Mill Country School. She married the love of her life, Max Ragatz, who preceded her in death. She worked at Oakdale State Home for many years before retiring.
Sheila’s time spent with her family was special and dear to her heart.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and playing cards. Sheila and Max loved square dancing many Saturday nights until he preceded her to heaven.
Sheila is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Larry) Wilcox, Cyndi (Dale) Duckert and Joyce (Ron) Pratt, her 8 grandchildren, her 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, her brother George Mack Jr., her sister-in-law, Marion Mack, many nieces and nephews and her close friend, Joan Chatland. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son, Robbie, her brothers, Albert Mack and Harold Mack.
Visitation for Sheila will be on Thursday, September 2, 2021, 10:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with funeral service at 2:00 PM. Pastor Dan Burger will officiate. Sheila will be laid to rest at Goodland Township Cemetery next to her husband.
