Ruth Lucille Hohman, age 95 passed away September 7, 2022 the same day as her son Larry 2 years prior in Marlette Long Term Care from a courageous battle with dementia.
Ruth worked at Chaso Royco in North Branch and then moved to a part time clerk at the Post Office in downtown North Branch. Later she was able to move to the new Post Office on Lincoln Street and became a full time clerk. She worked hard and later became North Branch Postmaster and retired after 33 years.
Ruth was born July 27, 1927, the daughter of William and Mildred Miller. She married Harley LeRoy Hohman on September 27, 1952 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in North Branch.
She is survived by her son Matthew (Lindy) Hohman and daughter RuthAnn (Richard) Glover, her 7 grand children and 17 great grand children
She was preceded in death by her husband Harley, son Larry, her parents, brothers William and Elmer, sister Evelyn, sister–in- law Sharon and many other family members.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Marlette Long Term Care where Ruth resided for the last 4 ¾ years.
The family will be present for visitation on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 4PM to 8PM, at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Visitation on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 will be from 10AM to 11AM with the funeral service at 11AM, at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Rev. Ronald Hutchinson will be officiating.
Ruth will be laid to rest at St Mary’s Burnside Cemetery.
