Russell G. Ruby

Russell G. Ruby, age 57, of North Branch passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022, at McLaren Lapeer Region with his family by his side. Russ was born on March 5, 1965 in Pontiac, MI, the son of Richard and Joann (Ryniak) Ruby. He grew up in Shelby Township and was a 1983 graduate of Romeo High School. On October 3, 2003, Russ married Sherry Bunting in Shelby Township.  Russ worked as a autobody technician/ painter.

Russ enjoyed mud bogging, motorcycles, camping and camp fires. Russ was the “Life of the Party” making sure everyone had a good time. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Russ is survived by his loving wife, Sherry, his children, Russell (Bre) Ruby Jr., Ashley (Josh Harris) Ruby and Vincent Ziehm, his grandchildren Hunter and Isabella Ruby, his parents, Richard and Joann Ruby, his brother, Keith Ruby, his father and mother-in-law, George and Christina Bunting and his sister-in-law, Jaimie Smit.          

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

The family will be present for visitation on Thursday, September 1, 2022, 12:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. On Friday, September 2, 2022, visitation will be 11:00 A.M-12:00 P.M.at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 P.M. Pastor Jason McCrory will officiate.
