Roy William Leonard Jr.

Roy William Leonard Jr, 87, of Clifford passed away on May 8, 2025 at his home with his family at his side. Roy was born on August, 29, 1937  the son of Roy W. and Ruth (Rutzel) Leonard Sr. Roy grew up in the Warren area and was a 1956 graduate of Warren High School. On March 5, 1960, Roy married Christina Duke. They just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Roy retired 31 years from Chrysler as a machinist.

Roy enjoyed hunting, fishing and putting together jigsaw puzzles. He was a golf partner with Father Treml. Roy was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1965.

Roy is survived by his wife, Christina, children, David (Kelly) Leonard, Matthew Leonard, Michele (Eddy)  Arn, Maureen (Bob) Ondrus, Rebecca (Greg) Saunders, 7  grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brother, Jim (Deanna) Leonard. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Ronald and Daniel Leonard, sister, Linda Rix.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children Hospital

The family will be present for visitation on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, 2:00-8:00 P.M. with rosary at 7:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. On Wednesday, May 14, 2025       visitation will be 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Richard Treml will be officiating. Roy will be laid to rest at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted by the North Branch American Legion Post 457.
