Rosemary Elizabeth (Shifter) Mayberry, 84, of North Branch passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 in Marlette Long Term Care. Rosemary was born on September 17, 1939, the daughter of Eugene and Mary (Brendly) Shifter. She grew up in Birch Run. Rosemary loved her Lord Jesus. She was a funny loving person full of love for her family and friends. Those who knew her knew she was full of spice. Rosemary loved and cherished her family and friends. She loved to crochet, knit and sew. Rosie was so loved by her 2nd family at Marlette Long Term Care. They loved her spunkiness and jokes. Rosemary married Karl Dhooghe. Karl passed away in 1973. She then married George Mayberry, who passed away in 1983.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Thomas (Debi) Dhooghe, Vicki (Duane) White, Eric (Amanda Cline) Mayberry, 5 grandchildren, Tiffany (Kevin) Kreiner, Heather Dhooghe, Thomas (Nicole) Dhooghe, Alicia (Matthew) Wagner, Christopher (Alyson) White, great grandchildren, Kody, Aiden, Owen, Thomas, Kennedy, Cori and Karli, her siblings, Eugene Shifter, Margaret Powell, Marge Dhooghe, several nieces and nephews, who all loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, son, Christopher Dhooghe, sister-in-law, Doris Shifter, brothers-in-law, Ivan Powell and Charles Dhooghe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Marlette Long Term Care Unit of Marlette Hospital.
A family gathering for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in North Branch with Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 P.M. Rev Sama Muma will be officiating. Rosemary will be laid to rest with her son, Christopher, at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
