Ronald S. Gaines

Ronald S. Gaines, age 64 of Ashley Township passed away on July 24, 2021 at his home. Ron was born on September 28, 1956 in Pontiac, MI, the son of Elmo and Ila (Pemberton) Gaines. Ron grew up in Pontiac, MI  and graduated from Northern High School, He graduated from a trade school in Indiana with a degree in welding and fabricating. He worked as a Sears repairman.  Ron enjoyed listening to music, playing his guitar, building hot rods and motorcycles, making things from scrap metal. Most of all he loved the outdoors and fishing with his grandchildren.

Ron is survived by his son Ronald J. (Cheryl) Gaines, his grandchildren, Allen, Kimberly, Erica, Ashley, Luke, Wayne and Andrew, his several great-grandchildren and his sister, Sandra (Norm) Sams, his nephew and nieces, Steven, Christy and Cindy. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother David Gaines.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

A memorial service for Ron will be held later this summer.
