Robert “Bob” Thibodeau, age 83, of North Branch passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 with his family by his side. Bob was born on January 18, 1938 in Royal Oak, MI, the son of Joseph Oscar and Beulah (Hansen) Thibodeau. Bob grew up in the Royal Oak area.
On August 13, 1960, Bob married Ruth Brinker at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Grand Blanc, MI. Bob worked for Twin Pines and London’s Dairy for 44 years, our hometown “milkman”. He later drove bus for GLTA for 10 years. Bob was a people person, he loved visiting and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed yardwork, playing golf, baseball and hockey. Bob loved to spend his time watching his grandchildren in their sporting events. Bob was an active member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #9568. He was also a member of the Singing Knights.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Ruth; his children, Patty (Jeff) McCormack, Bob (Karen) Thibodeau, David (Linda) Thibodeau, Wayne (Kris) Thibodeau; his 18 grandchildren, Danika, Sean, Caitlin, Mikayla, Jim, Thomas, Kateri, Joey, Kathleen, Timothy, Rachel, Zachery, Angelica, Isaac, Alex, Madalinn, Claire and Abigail; his 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Wesley, Fred, Harold and Dennis.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Knights of Columbus #9568 or Make-A-Wish – Team Mariah.
The family will be present for visitation on Friday, June 25, 2021, 2:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 2:00 P.M. On Saturday, June 26, 2021, visitation will be 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, with Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Richard Treml will officiate. Bob will be laid to rest at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery in North Branch.
