Richard "Dick" Hunt

Richard “Dick” Hunt, 78, of North Branch passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Whispering Pines AFC Home. Dick was born on March 24, 1945 in Pontiac, MI, the son of Alvin and Florence (Traphagan) Hunt. Dick grew up in the North Branch area and was a 1963 graduate of North Branch High School. Dick proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He retired from Ford Motor Company.

Dick enjoyed going up north, woodworking and collecting model cars, the 1956 and 1957 Chevys were his favorites. He loved his dog, Millie. He was a person who couldn’t sit still everyday he was out and about.

Dick is survived by his son, Todd R. Hunt, his daughter, Autumn (Tim) Coffelt, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joanne Andrich.

The family will be present for visitation on Wednesday, March 29, 11:00 A.M.-2:00 P.M. with a funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Home. Pastor Joseph Schierlinger    will be officiating. Dick will be laid to rest at Arcadia Township Cemetery, Lum, MI.  Military honors will be conducted by the North Branch American Legion Post 457.
