Ralph L. Klauka, age 85, of North Branch, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at his home with his family at his side. Ralph was born on June 2, 1936 in Almont, MI. He was the son of Leslie and Myrtle (Bowan) Klauka. He grew up in the Almont/North Branch area and was a 1954 graduate of North Branch High School. On February 2, 1957, he married Suzanne Dobson at Court Street Baptist Church in Port Huron, MI. He retired from Buick City after 43 years of service.
Ralph enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was known for his immaculate garden and perfect lawn. Ralph also loved to play horse shoes. He attended many world and state tournaments and was state champion in his class.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 64 years, Suzanne, his children, Brian (Fayth) Klauka of Applegate, MI, Dawn Klauka of Powder Springs, Georgia and Diane Lucas of Sterling Heights, MI., his grandchildren, Toni, Charles, Amanda, Brianna, Billy, Michael, Daniel and Amber and his 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Leslie Klauka, his sisters, Mary Lou Crosby and Ellen Walker.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
The family will be present for visitation on Friday, October 1, 2021, 2:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with funeral service to follow at 7:00 P.M. Pastor Josh Gates will officiate. Ralph will be laid to rest at West Deerfield Cemetery.
