Phylan "Gene" Eugene Stevens

Phylan “Gene” Stevens, age 89, of North Branch passed away on July 4, 2022 at United Hospice Services of Marlette Regional Hospital with his family by his side.  Gene was born on July 25 1932, in Burnside Township, the son of Florus and  Dorothy (Heather) Stevens. He grew up in the North Branch area and was a 1950 graduate of North Branch High School. On August 30, 1958, Gene married Jane Wilson at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Gene proudly served his country in the United States Army. Gene retired from General Motors as a supervisor after 30 years. He enjoyed golfing, building renovations, bowling, playing euchre, reading and crossword puzzles.

Gene is survived  by his wife Jane, his daughters, Lisa (Larry) Clarkson and Lori (Dan) Adamic, his grandchildren, Jessica (Kevin) Murphy, Jaclyn Adamic, Kristine (Peter) Seitz and Timothy (Holly) Clarkson, his great-grandchildren, Eleanor Seitz and Daniel Murphy ,his brother, Duane (Carmen) Stevens, his sister-in-law, Pat Wilson  and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to United Marlette Hospice of Marlette Regional Hospital.

A Memorial Mass for Gene will be on Monday, July 25, 2022 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church at 11:00 A.M., the family will be present  for visitation one hour prior of the service.
