Patricia "Patsy" Irene (Strong) Joseph

Patricia “Patsy” Irene Joseph, age 89, of Brown City, passed away on November 26, 2021 at Marlette Regional Hospital Long Term Care. Patsy was born on November 18, 1932 in Keego Harbor, MI, the daughter of Rowland and Lenna Strong. She grew up in Keego Harbor and was a graduate of Roosevelt High School.

Patsy met her lifelong partner and love of her life, Harold Joseph, when she was just 17 years of age. They did not date as Harold was shipped to Alaska as he was in the Air Force during the war. They wrote letters to each others to confirm their love for one another. They were married on June 16, 1951 in Keego Harbor. During their 70 years together, they endured many ups and downs losing 4 children and they still remain committed to their marriage through their inner faith and strength. Patsy was a full-time MOM.  She enjoyed music, reading, history, gardening, cooking, expert baking, making candy and chocolates. She had a love for animals. Pasty was the Matriarch of the entire family. She loved to make people laugh with her witty sense of humor. She always saw the good in people. She will be missed by all the lives she touched on this earth.

She was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist.Patsy is survived by her husband of 70 years, Harold, her children, Sharon P. Ball of Clifford, MI, Kathy (William) Hutchinson of Walloon Lake, MI, Grant (Jane) Joseph of Kentucky and Stephanie Jackson of South Carolina, her 9 Grandchildren, her 9 Great-grandchildren, her 2 Great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Arthur E. Cannon, her children, Michael Joseph, Christine Garrett, Scott Joseph and Margaret Joseph, her sons-in law, Randy Garrett and Jerry Jackson, her daughter-in-law, Gail Joseph, her grandson, William J Garrett, her siblings, Shirley Richmond, Dolores Cavalier, William Strong and Richard Strong.

Visitation for Patsy will be on Friday, December 3, 2021, 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M.at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. A Memorial service will follow at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. Ronald Hutchinson officiating.
