Olen Kerr

Olen Kerr, age 96, of Lapeer, joined his Holy Father in heaven on November 28, 2022.

Olen was born to William and Anna Kerr on November 29, 1925 in Bad Axe, MI.

Olen was drafted into the Army Air Corp in 1944 as an aviation student and was discharged from

Scottfield, Illinois in 1945.  On March 30, 1946 he married Phyllis Surprenant in Bad Axe.

He was employed by Detroit Edison for 33 years as a service planner retiring in 1988.  Olen

enjoyed working in his yard, hunting, music (especially the Clever Crows), and spending time with his family.

Olen is survived by his wife, Phyllis, 5 children; Richard of Clarkston, John and DeLynn of Troy, Dan and Bonnie of Florida, Joan of Neebish Island and Ann and Greg of Bellaire, 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings.

A Celebration of Life and graveside blessing will be at a later date.
