Norman Haack, age 82, of North Branch passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022, at McLaren Flint Hospital with his family by his side. Norm was born in Ann Arbor, MI, on May, 5, 1939, the son of Howard and Thelma (Reisen) Haack. He grew up most of his life in North Branch. On November, 12, 1960, he married the love of his life, Barbara White in Dearborn, MI.
Norm was a life- long crop and beef farmer. He produced potatoes for 54 years. He enjoyed riding his snowmobile and his side by side. He loved driving around in the 1990 GMC pick-up truck he restored. Norm loved his family time, he had the best wife, daughter and son-in-law, grandsons and granddaughter in-law, a man could ever ask for.
Norm is survived by his wife, Barb, his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Mark Walker, his grandsons, Ryan Walker and Mitchell (Kelsey) Walker, his sister, Betty Ann (Dwayne) Schlaud, his brothers, Richard (Marion) Haack and Kenneth Haack, his nieces and nephews and many North Branch friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his infant daughter, Karen Lynn, his infant brother, Paul Roy, his sister-in-law, Delores Haack and Suzie, his faithful lab.
Memorials in Norm’s name may be made to the family who will direct them to their favorite charities.
The family will be present for visitation on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. and Thursday, February 17, 2022, 2:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. On Friday, February 18, 2022, visitation will be 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. with funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Pastor Joseph Schierlinger will officiate. Norm will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery.
