Nancy Yuhasz Obituary

On November 5, 2019, Nancy (Whiting) Yuhasz was greeted at the pearly gates by the Lord and her sweet husband, Richard, after a short battle with cancer. Nancy was born on January 23, 1943 to Leon and Dorothy (Sites) Whiting in Oxford, MI. She was the oldest of 2 children.

Nancy graduated from North Branch High School, attended beauty school and married Richard on her 19th birthday, after he heard her sing and thought she was an angel. They were happily married for 57 years. They always wanted several children, but were blessed with 2. Their blessings continued as 6 wonderful grandchildren were born. These children were the twinkle of their eyes. Nancy was all about the “people” in her life. Nancy was destined to be a loving daughter, sister,  wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all she met.  Simply,  she loved people. Besides being with her children and grandchildren, she also loved to sing, paint, sew and quilt. She especially loved her little dog, Lacey.  Nancy was the kind of woman who devoted her life to serving others.  She made it her life mission to care for others in many ways, whether it be calling a friend to console them, sending a card or donating to many causes.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; two infant sons, David and Michael; and the love of her life, Richard.

Nancy leaves behind her brother, Charles Whiting; her daughters, Mary (Ron Pratt), Ann (Ron Zender); her grandchildren, Jon (Charlie Williams) and Megan YuhaszPratt, Carmen, Autumn, David and Kevin Zender.

Memorials may be directed to McLaren Hospitality House, The American Cancer Society or St. Judes.
