Matthew R. Zimmerman

Matthew R. Zimmerman, 42, of Silverwood passed away on May 18, 2026 at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw. Matthew was born on October 30, 1983 in Pontiac, the son of Linda and Cliff Goffar. Matthew ran his parent’s company business. Matthew was a person who loved animals! He had several fish tanks, birds, cats and a dog. He took care of the chickens and his mom’s barn cats.

Matthew is survived by his fiancé, Linda Johnson, parents, Linda and Cliff Goffar, children, Bailey Jane (Brandon), Kristian (Dannie), Megan (Brett) and Cody. He was blessed with a granddaughter, Blake Lei Austin. He is also survived by his brother, Jesse (Araceli), sister, Amanda and his grandfather, Cliff Goffar. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Jerry Yeacker, grandma, Mary Ann Yeacker and his Uncle Dave Yeacker.

Cremation has been entrusted to Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Matthew had the kindest heart would do anything for anyone and was loved by many.
