Mary Louise Kaake, 71, of Imlay City passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024 at the United Hospice House of Marlette Regional Hospital. Mary was born on August 30, 1952, the daughter of Gerald and Elaine (Ford) Snoblen. Mary grew up in North Branch and was a 1971 graduate of North Branch High School. On December 30, 1972, she married Steve Kaake. She was a homemaker, who loved staying at home taking care of her family. She enjoyed gardening, especially her flowers, reading, the Detroit Tigers and Dallas Cowboys. Another one of her favorite pastimes was watching Nascar races, especially when her favorite driver #24 Jeff Gordon was driving. She was an avid collector of wolf figurines. She loved spending time with her family.
Mary is survived by her husband, Steve, daughters, Michele (Brad) Reamer, Heather Kaake, grandchildren, Craig, Madison, Colton, 2 great-grandchildren, her siblings, Richard Snoblen, Dale Snoblen, Janice (Rollo) Pickens, Brian (Trena) Snoblen, Kathy Snoblen, brother-in-law, John Goss, many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Marlene Goss, brother, Daryl Snoblen, sisters-in-law, Shirley Snoblen and Rose Snoblen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to United Hospice Services of Marlette Regional Hospital.
Visitation for Mary will be on Friday, August 9, 2024, 1:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 P.M. Rev. Ronald Hutchinson will be officiating. Mary will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in North Branch.
