Mary Kay (Bader) Johnson

Mary Kay Johnson, age 62, of North Branch passed away on Thursday,

August 26, 2021 at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw, MI. Mary Kay was born in Marlette, MI on September 14, 1958, the daughter of Willard and Catherine (Yaklevich) Bader. She lived in North Branch all her life. She attended North Branch Area Schools and was a 1976 graduate. 

Mary Kay married her high school sweetheart, Al Johnson on July 16, 1977 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in North Branch. She worked at Marlette Regional Hospital as an Administrative Executive Assistant.

Mary Kay enjoyed golfing and tending to her flower garden. Mary Kay found much pleasure is reading and watching Hallmark movies.  She loved taking care and spending time with her family and grandchildren and making those delicious Sunday dinners. She will be deeply missed by all.

Mary Kay is survived by her loving husband, Al, her children, Jennifer (Tyler Malloy) Johnson, Jamie Johnson,  Amanda (Troy) Swoish and Jon-Michael (Cathy) Johnson, her grandchildren, Reece Jolicouer, Mikala McMullen, Aiden Swoish, Wyatt Koehler, Isabel Swoish, Addyson Feltz, Jon-Waylon Johnson, Jack-William Johnson, Elsie Johnson, Brookelynn Malloy, and Zane-Cullen Johnson, her sister, Ruth Ann (Robert) Bostick and her family.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her infant brother, Paul Bader and brother, Larry Bader.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Acute Care at Marlette Regional Hospital.

A memorial gathering for Mary Kay will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021, Noon-5:00 P.M. at the North Branch American Legion Hall.

Per Mary Kay’s wishes cremation has taken place.
