Mary K. (Curell) Hobson

Mary K. Hobson, age 89, of Clifford/North Branch passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Covenant Health Care in Saginaw. Mary was born on December 27, 1931, the daughter of Charles and Mabel (Sammons) Curell.  She was a 1950 graduate of North Branch High School. Mary married Merton Hobson on April 3, 1954 at the West Deerfield Church. Mary worked 20 years at Marlette Regional Hospital as a dietary aide. Mary enjoyed taking pictures of family, grandchildren and barns. She loved watching humming birds.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family.

Mary is survived by her children, Richard Donald Hobson, Jeanine (Bill) James, Doriene (David) Grider,  Kenneth (Arlene) Hobson, Jeffery Hobson, Koliene (Joseph) Law, Steven (Donna) Hobson, Sharlene (John) Robinson and Marlene (Eric) Waller; her grandchildren, Annie (Jon) Schwartz. Aaron (April) Grider, Bryan (Alison) Grider, Christopher (Julie) Grider, Kaliene Law, John Law, Carley Law, Emilia Hobson, Charles Hobson, Hannah Robinson (Brandon Avery), Abby and Samantha Waller; her 12 great-grandchildren;  her brothers, Lawrence (June) Curell and Dallas (Elizabeth) Curell; her sister-in-law, Janet Curell; many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Merton; her parents, her daughter-in-law, Becky Hobson; her 1 sister and 7 brothers.

Visitation for Mary will be on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the North Branch Wesleyan Church. On Wednesday, February 10, 2021 visitation will be 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at the North Branch Wesleyan Church with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Robert Lott will officiate. Mary will be laid to rest next to her husband at Maple Grove Cemetery.
