Marvin A. Kloss, 69, of Silverwood, passed away on February 20, 2025 at his home with his family by his side. Marvin was born on May 14, 1955, in Marlette, the son of John and Betty (Hamm) Kloss. Marvin grew up in the Marlette area and was a 1973 graduate of Marlette High School.
On May 17, 1975, he married Lora Naracon in Marlette. He was a self-employed carpenter, specializing in pole barns. Marvin enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. He loved farming and spending time with his grandchildren.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife, Lora, children, Steve (Kathy, fiance’) Searles, Nicholas Kloss, Isis Kloss, Nathan Kloss, Jacob Kloss, David Clemens, 10 grandchildren, siblings, Paul (Deb) Kloss, Carl (Shawn) Kloss, Carol Gibbs, Marlyn (Larry) Coggins, Preston (Gail) Kloss, Wayne (Deb) Seres, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Johnny Kloss, his parents and brother-in-law, Clay Gibbs.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
The family will be present for visitation on Saturday, February 22, 2025, 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. In keeping with Marvin wishes, cremation will follow and burial will be in the spring at Hyslop Cemetery in Sandusky.
