Obituary

Mark A. DeGroat, age 56, of North Branch, passed away on April 5, 2023, at the United Hospice Services of Marlette Regional Hospital. Mark was born on May 29, 1966, in Lapeer, the son of Clark and Beverly (Ball) DeGroat. Mark grew up in the Brown City Area and was a 1984 graduate of Lapeer East. He was a construction worker. Mark married Lorrie Daniels in Brown City on July 10, 1993.  Mark enjoyed hunting, fishing, running his beagles, woodworking. He loved nature, planting trees and camping with the family. Most of all, Mark loved the time spent with family.

Mark is survived by his loving wife, Lorrie, his daughter, Roxann DeGroat, his son, Ryan (Brittney) DeGroat, his grandchildren, Hunter DeGroat, Bryce Muxlow, Hayden DeGroat, Korbyn Rozumny, his mother, Beverly DeGroat, his sisters, Debbie (Ken) Mitchell, Marcy (Mark) Wisnieski, mothers-in-law, Ethelyn VanWormer, Barbara Daniels, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Clark DeGroat, his brother, Gary DeGroat, his grandson, Houston DeGroat, his father-in-law, Robert Daniels.
