Marian Taylor, age 93, of Marlette passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at her home with her family at her side. Marian was born on February 5, 1928, in Paris, Ohio, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth Dres. She grew up in the Hazel Park, MI area.
Marian worked since the age of 14 as a waitress, from Detroit to Florida. In Florida she owned her own catering business. Marian enjoyed sewing, crafts, her flowers and playing euchre with her friends in Marlette. Most of all she loved her family and Jesus.
Marian is survived by her daughter, Rusty (Rick) Spezia, her granddaughter, Kristin (Glenn) Bruce and her grandsons, Glenn Henry Bruce and Dylan Bruce.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her 7 siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to United Hospice Service of Marlette.
Visitation for Marian will be on Thursday, September 9, 2021, 3:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. On Friday, September 10, 2021, visitation will be 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in North Branch with funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Family friend John Simmons will officiate. Marian will be laid to rest at Westlawn Cemetery at a later date.
