Magdaleno “Leno” V. Aleman, age 80, went home to be with his King Jesus and be reunited with the love of his life “Lily,” on Friday, June 7, 2024 at McLaren Flint Hospital. Leno was born on May 4, 1944, in San Antonio, Texas, son of Ruperto H. Aleman and Johanna (Vasquez) Aleman. Leno grew up in San Antonio and moved to Croswell, MI as a teenager, where he met the love of his life Lily. They were married on November, 20, 1965 at St. Patrick’s Church in Croswell, MI. Leno worked for General Motors and retired after 40 years.
Leno loved the Lord and attended church regularly with breakfast afterwards. He also loved “running the roads” by going to estate sales, garage sailing, playing euchre with the guys and lunches at Leo’s on Coney Dog Tuesday. When at home you can always catch him watching wrestling of which he was a huge fan.
Leno is survived by his children, Connie (Dale) Nellenbach, Leonard (Rosalba) Aleman, Sylvia Lewis, his grandchildren, Brianna (Zack) Hawes, Kristofer Lewis, Selena (Jonathon) Wyatt, Jacob Nellenbach, great-grandchildren, Zarah Hawes and soon “Baby Wyatt,” his 6 brothers (5 brothers in Texas, 1 brother in Arizona), 5 sisters (4 sisters from Texas, 1 sister from Arizona), many, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by the Love of his Life, Adelia “Lily” Aleman, infant son David, mom and dad, Ruperto and Johanna Aleman, sister, Martha Aleman Garcia.
