Lora L. (Rice) Buchanan

  Lora Buchanan, age 69, of Mayville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 with her family at her side.  Lora was born on May 24, 1950, the daughter of Vern and Edna (Roe) Rice. Lora grew up in the Manistique area.

Lora worked at Metamora Products. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially the little grandbabies.

Lora is survived her sons, Chris (Kathleen) Fish of Mayville, MI., Chad Buchanan of  Gillette, Wyoming and Mark (Amanda) Buchanan of Gillette, Wyoming; her 6 grandchildren; her 2 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Lois Shock and Les Rice. Lora was preceded in death by her son, Rick Fish; her parents her sisters, Lenora Tallman and Linda Syers.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held later this summer.

Lora will be laid to rest next to her son, Rick, at West Deerfield Cemetery.  We will be publishing the arrangements at a later time.
