Lindsay Schlaud Obituary

Lindsay Eugene Schlaud, age 68, of Columbiaville passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 with his family by his side. Lindsay was born on October 5, 1953, in Marlette, the son of Leo and Velma (Dunlap) Schlaud. He grew up in the North Branch area and was a 1971 graduate of North Branch Area Schools. Lindsay retired from General Motors after 30 years. Lindsay enjoyed hunting, gardening, playing euchre and attending car shows. He loved spending time with family and visiting with friends.

Lindsay is survived by his children, Rick (Amy) Schlaud, DeAnna (Scott) Sierakowski, Amber (Kedar) Shetye and Evan Schlaud, his grandchildren, Cole, Camden, Logan, Kenzie, Ethan, Dilan, Raymond, SkyLynn, Rowan, Lucas, Ravi, Anya and Maya his brothers, Gary Schlaud, Dennis (Deb) Schlaud, Gigg Schlaud, his sister, Kip (Tim) Thompson, his nieces and nephews, his godmother, Aunt Rita Schlaud and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Vickie Schlaud.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family who will donate to Lindsay’s favorite charities.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 20, 2022, 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. On Saturday, May 21, 2022, visitation will be 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Sama Muma will officiate. Lindsay will be laid to rest at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
