Larry Wayne Secson

Larry Secson, age 61, of Attica, formerly of North Branch, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Larry was born in Marlette, on June 26, 1960, the son of Tony and Shirley (Caldwell) Secson.  Larry was a country boy growing up on Cedar Creek Road. He attended North Branch Area Schools and was a 1978 graduate. He retired from the Lapeer County Road Commission, the North Branch Garage in 2015 as a grader operator. On March 12, 2004, he married Denise Schiebel in Las Vegas.

Larry was a member of the Eagles, in Mayville. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and driving the back roads. He was a people person always ready to chat with anybody. He always had a smile on his face. He loved his family time.

Larry is survived by his wife, Denise, his daughter, Jessica and Michael Gregg of Brown City,  his grandchildren, Austin, Griffin and Westin, his brother, Bob (Robin) Secson of North Branch, his in-laws, Daryl and Alice Schiebel of Armanda, MI and Diane Dzuris of North Branch, his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends, his beloved dog, Sadie. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Lonnie “Pete” Secson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

The family will be present for visitation on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, 1:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Larry’s funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Pastor Peter Damaska will officiate.  Larry will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery.
