Larry K. Jackson

Larry K. Jackson, age 76, of North Branch passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 with his family by his side. Larry was born on September 16, 1945, in Highland Park, MI, the son of Preston and Clara June (Yerkey) Jackson. Larry grew up in Clawson and was a 1964 graduate of Clawson High School.  Larry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War on the USS Enterprise. Larry married Karen Martus on June 20, 1981. He retired from Chrysler where he worked for 37 years.

Most of all he loved spending time with his family and shooting the breeze with close friends at several NB establishments. He was a classic car buff, never missing a Woodward Dream Cruise. He was a member the Lapeer VFW Post 4139 and the Lansing American Legion Post 225.

Larry is survived by his wife, Karen, his daughters, Heather (Josh) Kreiner,  Michelle  (Phillip) Braschayko, Kimberly (Matt) Cagle and  Teresa (Greg) Kovalchick, his grandchildren, Ashley (Patrick) Beatty, Ryan Addison, Jacob, Brandon, Jarett, Madison, Jonathon and Asa Jackson, his great-grandson, Mason and his sister, Sherry (Pete) Wedemeyer. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Debbie Wagner.

The family will be present for visitation on Sunday, June 26, 2022, 2:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Burnside Catholic Church. Larry will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI. North Branch American Legion Post 457 will conduct military honors.
