Larry Hosner, age 71 of North Branch passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020, at McLaren/Flint Regional Hospital. Larry was born February 21, 1949, in Kirby, Arkansas, the son of George and June Hosner. Larry grew up in the Cass City, MI. area. He was a 1969 graduate of Cass City High School. He served his country as United States Marine during the Vietnam War. On November 6, 1982, He married the love of his life Merry Wojcik in Lapeer, MI. Larry worked as a bus mechanic for 21 years at North Branch Area Schools until his retirement in 2010. Larry enjoyed woodworking and restoring his blue 1951 Ford truck.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Merry; his sons, Steven (Amber) Hosner and Matthew Hosner; his granddaughter, Emerson Hosner; his siblings, Claire (Nanette) Hosner, Jim Hosner, Ilene Clark and Steven (Judy) Hosner; his brother and sister-in-laws, Chuck and Judy Wytrychowski and Carol and Ben Stierle; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials in Larry’s name may be directed to family which will be donated to Children’s Hospital in Detroit and PPE for our First Responders.
The family will be present for visitation on Thursday, May 14, 2020, 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. A private family funeral service will follow at 1:00P.M. Larry will laid to rest at West Deerfield Cemetery.
