Kimberly L. Dhooghe, 66, of North Branch passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024 at McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital with her family by her side. Kim was born on April 22, 1958, the daughter of Vernon and Dora (Wood) Folster. Kim grew up in the Dryden area. On November 13, 1976, she married George Dhooghe. Kim retired as a machinist from DieTech in Imlay City.
Kim enjoyed crocheting, gardening, tending to her flower beds, collecting owls and diamond art. Purple was her favorite color. She was a very strong and independent person. She was also a most generous, giving person, who would help anyone who was in need. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Kim is survived by her husband, George, children, Nicholas (Elisabeth) Dhooghe, Dena (Bruce) Whipple, Matthew (Amanda) Dhooghe, 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Joey Dhooghe, 7 brothers and sisters who went before her.

The family will be present for visitation on Saturday, November 23, 2024, 11:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Richard Treml will officiate. Kim will be laid to rest at later date at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
