Joseph David John Linck, age 90, of North Branch passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020 at McLaren/Lapeer Region Hospital. Joe was the third child and first son of Clarence and Florence (Bruman) Linck. He was born on July 16, 1929 in Detroit, MI. Joe spent his younger years living in the Upper Peninsula and in 1935 the family moved back to Lapeer County. Joe was a 1948 graduate of North Branch High School. Joe worked as a mechanic, a truck driver, a janitor and helped Friday nights at the Brass Lamp frying fish. Joe loved gardening, the Detroit Tigers, his trips to Las Vegas, horseracing, playing Keno and spending time with family and friends. He was an active member of the North Branch Lions Club.
Joe is survived by his sisters, Agnes Kreiner and Marcella Henderson; his brothers, John (Joanne Blair) Linck, Frederick (Emma Carson) Linck, James (Dione Azevedo) Linck and Patrick Linck; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; many good neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Ann Lester, Rita Bartholomy, Rose Mary Wheaton and his brothers, Leo Linck, Clarence Linck and Edward Linck.
Visitation for Joe will be on Wednesday, June 10th 3:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. On Thursday, June 11th, visitation will be at 10:00 A.M.-11:00A.M. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in North Branch. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 A.M. Father Sama Muma will officiate. Joe will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Burnside Cemetery.
