John William Schulte, 59, of North Branch died May 20, 2021 with his loving wife and family by his side. He was born January 30, 1962, in Detroit. John married Annette Caponi on October 19, 1985.
He graduated from De La Salle, class of ’80, alongside lifelong friends. Owner of A & J Contracting, he took pride in beautifying people’s homes for 35+ years. An avid outdoorsman, John could often be found in a tree stand, on the golf course, or driving his boat out in the early morning fog to fish. His favorite way to relax was with family and friends around a campfire, stargazing, and instilling in his kids the power of music. He enjoyed raising dogs, telling stories, and leaves behind an absolutely gorgeous lawn, and all the split firewood his family will ever need.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Annette, his children, Jessica (Matt) Swoish, Kierstyn (Kyle) Cooper, Jack Schulte, and Joe Schulte. The joy of his heart came from his grandchildren, Lyla, Nolen, Logan, Luke, Landon and baby Joe. He is also survived by his mother, Geraldine Rahn, his brother, Ken (Pauline) Schulte, and many extended family members.
The family will be present for visitation on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, 9:30 A.M.-11:00 A.M. with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 A.M. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in North Branch. Rev. Richard Treml will offiiciate. Per John's wishes cremation has taken place.
