John D. Linck

John Linck, age 84, of Lapeer, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at his home with his family at his side. John was born February 16, 1937, in North Branch, the son of Clarence and Florence (Bruman) Linck.  John grew up on the family farm on Hasslick Road in North Branch. He proudly served in the United States Army. John worked at Stroh’s Brewery in Detroit, MI. On October 17, 1969 he married Joanne Blair in Detroit, MI.

John enjoyed farming, gardening, playing cards and bingo, watching Jeopardy and the Detroit Tigers.

John is survived by his loving wife, Joanne, his sons, Robert (Dawn) Linck, Bill (Kelly) Linck and Michael (Carol) Linck, his 4 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren, his siblings, Agnes Kreiner, Frederick (Emma) Linck, Marcella Henderson,  James (Dione) Linck and Patrick Linck., several nieces, nephews and cousins and his many fur babies.. He was preceded in death by  his parents, his sisters, Ann Lester, Rita Bartholomy and  Rose Mary Wheaton, his brothers, Leo Linck, Joseph Linck, Clarence Linck and  Edward Linck.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

Per John’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering for John will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021, Noon-4:00 P.M. at the North Branch American Legion Hall..Military honors will be conducted by the North Branch American Legion Post 457.
