John Harley, 94, a lifelong resident of North Branch passed away at his home on Monday, June 10, 2024. John was born May 3, 1930 in Goodland Township, the son of William and Carrie (Crawford) Harley. He had five brothers and two sisters. He served in the Army branch of the U.S. Military before marrying the love of his life, Doreen (Albrecht) on February 2, 1955. He worked as a bulldozer operator for Hyponex for many years. His hobbies included stock car racing, watching NACAR and spending time with his dog, Joey. He loved spending time with his family. He was a loving and caring father.
Left to cherish John’s memory, sons Kris (Patricia) Harley, Earl Harley and Lee Ramirez, daughter Luanne Bruman, son-in-law Allen Hutchinson, sixteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Carrie Harley, his wife Doreen and daughters Patti Daniels, Carol Hutchinson, sons-in-law Donald Bruman, Kevin Daniels and all of his siblings.
The family will be present for visitation on Thursday, June 13, 2024, 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. the funeral service to follow at 12:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Pastor Jason Cullin will be officiating. John will be laid to rest at Arcadia Township Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the North Branch American Legion Post 457.
