Jerome Kenneth Harris

Jerome Kenneth Harrris, age 49, passed away at his home in Lakeview, MI on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.  Jerome was born on July 4, 1976 in Lapeer, the son of Kenneth and Laura (Sealey) Harris. He attended Lapeer East Schools and Ferris University. Jerome loved life. His greatest passions were his family and the great outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and motor sports enthusiast. He loved his dog, Cooper. He was a people person with a big heart. Managing a pawn shop, Jerome always tried to help the people who came in. Even if what they had to sell was worthless, Jerome would give them money from his own pocket or insist they take a toy or bicycle for their kid. His own children were his pride and joy. Jerome always said Ava and Aiden were his best friends and he would tell anyone who would listen how proud he was of them. We are thankful that Jerome is at peace now. He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

Jerome is survived by his mother, Laura, his children, Ava (15) and Aiden (13), the children’s mother, Jen Brooke, brother, Matthew (Lori), nieces and nephew, Ella, Layla, Henry, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family including the Brooke family He was preceded in death by his father, Ken, grandparents, Edwin and Margaret Sealey and Keith and Bernice Harris.

In lieu of flowers contribution can be made to Laura Harris for the care of his children.

The family will be present for visitation on Friday, November 28, 2025, 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. On Saturday, November 29, 2025, visitation will be 12:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M. with Funeral Service at 2:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home. Pastor Jason McCrory will officiate. Cremation will follow.
