Jerome Harry Crowton

Jerome Harry Crowton, 82, of Dryden, MI passed away on August 3, 2023 after his battle with brain cancer. Jerome was born on July 17, 1941 in Detroit, MI, the son of Harry and Dorothy (Totten) Crowton. He was the 6th of 11 children in his family. He married his lovely wife, Dolores Rhoads, on June 5, 1962 at the First Presbyterian Church in Detroit, MI, in 1976 they moved to Dryden to raise their 4 children. Jerome was employed by a sub-contractor for Ford Motor Company. He was awarded the top model maker during his career. He also enjoyed working alongside his wife at Heaven’s Gardens in Dryden, MI, growing roses, landscaping, and planting rose gardens. Jerome loved spending time in Paradise, MI at his cabin and 80 acres. He adored and loved the outdoors watching wildlife. He had a soft spot for the nature of animals. Jerome loved spending time with his family and cooking for them.  He liked traveling down south in the winter months, keeping warm and laying in the sun. 

Jerome is survived by his lovely wife, Dolores, son, James (Linda) Crowton, daughters, Natalie (Jamie) Wright and Elizabeth (Todd) Winslow, son-in-law, Michael Parvin, 11 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and countless lifelong friends, Jerome was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Julie Parvin, brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Jerome will be laid to rest on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at 11:30 AM next to his daughter Julie at Westlawn Cemetery.
