Jean "Twigs" M. (Fricke) Ragatz

Jean M. “Twigs” Ragatz, age 81, of North Branch, passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at her home with her family by her side. Jean was born on August 26, 1938  in North Branch, MI.  She was the daughter of Edward and Lucille (Rosolowski) Fricke.  Jean grew up in the North Branch area and was a 1956 graduate of North Branch High School.  On June 30, 1956, Jean married the love of her life, Walter Ragatz, at the First United Methodist Church in North Branch. She worked at Suncrest (20 years), CMS (10 years) and Robinet Manufacturing.   

Jean enjoyed  playing cards,  bingo, casinos, riding horse, attending wedding receptions and dancing the night away. Jean enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved her grand- babies.

Jean is survived by her husband, Walt, her daughters, Kim Terranova,  Rosanna (Ted Detkowski)   Jolicoeur, Gina (Kurt) Zachmann, Tracey (Brian) Woycik  and Toby (Norm Barbieri) Ragatz, her grandchildren Walter John Edward  (Kelley) Terranova, Bianca (Jesse) Armendariz, Zachary (Melissa) Jolicoeur, Justin (Lindzey) Jolicoeur, Joseph (Brittney) Zachmann,  Jodi (James) McCumber, Olivia Woycik, Kennedy Woycik, Nichole (Josh) Skinner, Gunner Ragatz-Howard and Gavin Howard, her great-grandchildren, Bella Rose, Jacey, Jaxon, Piper,  Matthew, Lucy, McKenzie, Lilly, Conner, Aaron, Anakin, Waylon, Bradley, Kihya and Emma, her brother, Francis (Judith) Fricke, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Walter Edward Ragatz, her sons-in-law, John Terranova and Randy Jolicouer, her father and mother-in-law, Lloyd and  Alma Ragatz.

Per Jean’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jean’s life will be held at a later date this summer.
