Jatavia Monique Hendrickson, 14, of Attica passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 27, 2024 with her family, friends and squishmallows by her side. Jatavia was born in Saginaw on October 23, 2010, the daughter of Jared and Monica (Ankley) Hendrickson. She was an 8th grader at North Branch Junior High School. Jatavia loved playing soccer, painting, legos and family games. She had a deep love for Jesus.
Jatavia is survived by her parents, her brothers, Julian and Elias, her grandparents, Bill and Virginia Ankley, Tanga and Kirk Hendrickson, many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
The family will be present for visitation on Thursday, January 2, 2025, 12:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home, with rosary at 3:00 P.M. On Friday, January 3, 2025, visitation will be 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 P.M. Rev. Sama Muma will be officiating. Jatavia will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Burnside Cemetery.
Per Jatavia’s request, if you are attending her funeral, please wear bright colorful clothing—no black.
