James Charles Osborne

James Charles Osborne, 78, of North Branch passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on January 22, 2026. James was born on January 7, 1948, in Paris Ontario, the son of Alvin and Eunice (Thomson) Osborne. He was one of 8 children. He married the love of his life, Loraine Caldwell in October of 1970. They had 2 children, Jennifer and Dennis. James was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Loraine; brothers, John and Billy; sisters, Elaine and Bonnie; best friend Hank; in-laws, Lloyd and Thelma Caldwell. He is survived by his children, Jennifer (Rodney) Davis and Dennis (Tricia) Osborne; grandchildren, Ariel, Justice, Lilian, Samatha and Allison; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Brooks, Merida; sisters, Peggy and Marie; brother, Duncan (Deb);  sister-in-law-Donna (Lynn) Gates; nieces, nephews and special friends.

Jim was a proud devoted grandfather and never missed an opportunity to brag about them to anyone who would listen. He loved hockey, fishing, watching freighters traveling the St. Clair River and telling stories about his time on the road as a truck driver. He will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.

In keeping with Jim’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home.
