Howard Randall Geisenhaver “Randy” age 70, went to be with the Lord, on Monday, September 26, 2022, after a long battle with ALS. Randy was born on March 31, 1952 in Flint Michigan to Howard and Rita (Acre) Geisenhaver. He graduated from North Branch High School “Class of 1971.”
In 1980 he married Cathy Ludwig. He loved working with his hands, making many wood pieces. He also was an Iron worker, a Semi Truck driver for Hertz, and a Deerfield Township Fireman. He retired from Champion Bus in 2020. Randy has so many very close friends and loved to tease all his grandchildren.
Randy is survived by: his wife, Cathy; daughter, Kim Geisenhaver, of Gladstone; step-daughter, Shilo (Scott) Lockrey , of South Carolina; step-sons, Dan Thompson of Silverwood and Matt (Amy) Thompson of Freeland; mother-in-law, Lois Ludwig, of Lum; brothers, Gary (Cindy) Geisenhaver of Flushing and Bill (Mary) Geisenhaver of Lapeer; sister, Madelyn Cole of Harrrison; sisters-in-law, Peg Geisenhaver, of Imlay City and Deb (Larry) Zuhlke of Imlay City; brothers-in-law, Bob Ludwig of Brown city, Rick Ludwig of Imlay City, Jeff (Julie) Ludwig of North Branch; granddaughter, Amanda (Mike) McIntyre; grandsons, Jesse (Amber) Ritchie, Kearin Lockrey, Quint Lockrey, Jacob (Victoria) Steinhausen, Nicholas Royer, Austin Thompson, Brady Thompson and Ethan Lockery; many great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Rita; brother, Ralph; sister, Connie; grandson, Jordan; father-in-law, William Ludwig; brother-in-law, William Ludwig Jr; sisters-in-law, Gail Ludwig and Faith Ludwig.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
The family will be present for visitation on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 2 PM to 8 PM at Blackburn Chapel-Martin Funeral Home, North Branch. Visitation on Friday September 30, 2022 from 10 AM to 11 AM with the funeral to follow 11 AM at Country Christian Church, 5677 North Lapeer Road, North Branch with Pastor Dale Lautzenheiser officiating. Randy will be laid to rest in Arcadia Township Cemetery in Lum.
