Harold Martin Adams, 84, passed away on April 11, 2026, at his home. He was born on February 15,1942, the son of Stephen and Catherine (Drinkhorn) Adams. Harold grew up in Brown City, Michigan, and resided in North Branch, Michigan.
Harold was drafted at the age of 22 and served in Vietnam. Upon his return from his military service, he was greeted by his expecting wife and young daughter. He built a new home and relocated to North Branch, Michigan with his young family in 1978. Harold had a dedicated life-long career with General Motors, where he retired in 2007.
He deeply appreciated and was mindful of nature, seeing the beauty of every changing season. He passionately enjoyed his land and maintaining it. His summers were spent planting and nurturing his large garden, all from seeds. He grew plentiful harvests of vegetables, not only for themselves, but he mostly loved the sharing and giving of the harvest to the community. In his quieter moments he was an avid reader and challenged himself with game shows, word, number and jigsaw puzzles. He had a big heart for relationships. His memory of people always surprised us! His quick wit, laughter, love and unbreakable bond will be forever missed.
Harold is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Jane “Cookie”, his daughter Christine (James) Bologna, his son Asa (Julie) Adams, as well as grandchildren, Chelsea, Chad, Chase, Carter, Blake, Michael, Emily, Ethan, eleven great-grandchildren, sister Elaine Stephens, many nieces and nephews.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Charles and Richard Adams, sons Steven and Troy Adams, grandson Keegan Adams.
