Gwendolyn Maxine (Sanborn) Rhoda

Gwendolyn "Gwen" Maxine Rhoda, age 77 of North Branch, went home to be with her heavenly father on May 5th, 2025, at the North Branch Assisted Living.  Gwen was born June 10, 1947, at home on Barnes Lake.  The daughter of Hollis and Helen (Stanley) Sanborn. She was a graduate of North Branch High School, Class of 1965. On August 4, 1971, she married Victor Rhoda. They were married 51 years before Vic passed away in 2023.
 
Gwen is survived by her sisters Kate (Ralph) Deshetsky of North Branch, brother-in-law Dan Scrimger of Lapeer, Jo Marie (Dave) Costello of Cadillac, Jorja Scrimger of Davison, her sisters-in-law Sue Davis of Anderson IN, Gail (Tom) Haynes of Smithton PA,  many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by husband, parents, brother Robert Sanborn, sister Madelyn Scrimger, her in-laws Victor and Pauline Rhoda, and brother-in-law Bob Davis.
Cremation and a family memorial service has taken place.
