Gloria S. (Klein) Elwart

Gloria Susan  Elwart, age 93, of Lum,  MI. passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Marlette Extended Care Facility. Gloria was born on June 3, 1926, in Capac, MI.  She was the daughter of John and Eva (Keller) Klein. Gloria grew up in the Capac area and attended Capac schools.  She retired as a housekeeper from Marlette Regional Hospital. Gloria was the “Best Mom in the World.”  She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and caring for her children and grandchildren.

Gloria is survived by her children, Michael Elwart, Glennie, MI., Leo Elwart, Auburn Hills, MI., Thomas (Ruth) Elwart, Flint,MI., Jerry Elwart, Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Rose (Doug) Sands, Silverwood, MI., Clifford Elwart, Lapeer, MI., Richard Elwart, Lapeer, MI., John Elwart, Marlette, MI., Don (Linda) Elwart, Morristown TN., Ron ( Linda) Elwart, Marlette, MI., Clem Elwart, Cleveland, Ohio, Paul (Dawn) Elwart, Lum, MI., Chris (Larry) Teal, West Branch, MI. and John (Vicky) Moenaert, Imlay City, MI.; her sisters Helen Christensen, Berville, MI. and Katherine Peters, St. Petersberg, FL.; her 22 grandchildren; her 57 great-grandchildren and her 8 great-great-grandchildren; her special friend Eva Bognar and many nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, Frank Elwart;  her daughter-in-law Barb Elwart; several brothers and sisters her special friend, Fran Moenaert and  her special four-legged friend, Lady.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
